Putin regards the nation’s traditional religions and nuclear shield equally important for its security

Moscow, February 1, Interfax – Vladimir Putin, the president of the Russian Federation, said that Russia’s religion and nuclear weapons are equally important for the national security.

‘Both traditional faiths of the Russian Federation and its nuclear shield are the elements strengthening Russian sovereignty and creating the necessary prerequisites for maintaining our country’s internal and external security. This may give us a clear vision of how the state should regard both of the two either today or in the future,’ Putin said in the end of his sixth press conference in the Kremlin on Thursday.
