Kiev, June 19, Interfax – Head of the Embassy of God sect Sunday Adelaja owns two four story mansions in the elite district not far from Kiev.
According to the Ukrainian website Vlasti.net, each of the mansions where the pastor’s family lives may cost about $900,000 without finish. A designer involved in making interior for the houses spread some pictures of luxurious rooms in Internet. She said at least $300,000 was spent for the design, while only fabrics for windows cost about $22,000.
Adelaja’s neighbors complain that the pastor often switches on the music (modern dance rhythms with Biblical lyrics) and it plays so loud they cannot hear their TV sets.
Not long ago, Kiev mayor Leonid Chernovetsky called Adelaja a person "who brings freedom to Ukraine" and promised to protect him from all possible repressions till his last breath.
