Chita, January 14, Interfax - Policemen in the Zabalkalie District detained a local resident who after drinking alcohol, stole a frock from an Orthodox priest and marched along the streets of the district center town Aginskoye congratulating everyone on the New Year and Christmas, press service of the regional office of the Interior Ministry reports.
The police received a report about the theft of the priestly frock on Monday.
"The false priest got into the role and believed it was not enough to greet compatriots on the streets. He came to a kindergarten where he blessed children and wished happiness to the tutors.
In spite of the fact that the man was drunk, no one prevented him from his actions.
The suspect is a 41-year-old resident of the neighboring village. He explained that he did it because he was drunk. After his walk the man changed his cloths and hid the frock in a deserted house, where policemen found it.
The criminal case is instigated on Article 158 of the Criminal Code (theft).
