John the Baptist's right hand delivered to Moscow

Moscow, June 7, Interfax - The right hand of Saint Prophet John the Baptist, an orthodox relic, was delivered to Moscow on Wednesday at about 4 p.m., local time, from Montenegro.

Numerous representatives of the Orthodox clergy were on hand to welcome the relic at the Vnukovo-3 airport, according to an Interfax correspondent.

After a short prayer, the right hand will be transported by a convoy to the Temple of Christ the Savior for the beginning of a solemn service.
