29 October 2020, 16:33Putin calls attack at Nice church 'cynical, brutal crime,' says Russians share French people's anger, grief - Kremlin
Moscow, October 29, Interfax - Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a telegram to French President Emmanuel Macron offering his condolences on the tragic consequences of the latest terrorist attacks in France, the Kremlin press service said on Thursday.
"The cynical and brutal crime committed in a church is particularly outrageous. We have seen yet again that terrorists are absolutely devoid of human concepts of morality. Obviously, the war on international terrorism requires a real consolidation of the entire global community's efforts," Putin said in his telegram.
The Russian leader reaffirmed Russia's preparedness "for the closest possible interaction with its French and other foreign partners on all aspects of counterterrorism activities," the Kremlin said.
"The president of the Russian Federation also stressed that Russians share in the anger and grief of the French people and offered words of his most sincere compassion to the relatives and loved ones of the dead," it said. |
