31 May 2022, 13:14Zakharova on plans to impose sanctions against the patriarch: no one submits notes about the health of EU
Moscow, May 31, Interfax – The official representative of Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, has ironically commented on the plans of European Union to include Patriarch Kirill in the sanctions list.
As reported, on Tuesday, the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrel, expressed the opinion that the primate of Russian Orthodox Church would be under sanctions as part of the sixth package of measures against Russia.
"Let him pray that Patriarch Kirill does not include the European Union in response. Although even without this, no one has been submitting notes about the health of the European Union for a long time," Zakharova wrote on this occasion in her Telegram channel.
In her opinion, the Leaning Tower of Pisa should become a symbol of EU diplomacy: "attracting with its failure and non-functional, at the same time popular, with a history and bringing income to its owners." For her part, Zakharova proposed a slogan for this - "Glory to the fall - glory in the fall." |
