22 March 2007, 13:47To love somebody else’s husband is not Christian - Miss Universe winner Oxana Fyodorova
Moscow, March 22, Interfax - Romantic feeling to someone who already has a family is contrary to the Christian commandments, the Miss Universe 2002 winner, TV presenter and actress Oxana Fyodorova thinks.
‘To love somebody else’s husband is not for me, it is not Christian! I would never consider mine a man who is already in relationship with another woman,’ Fyodorova said in her interview for Komsomolskaya Pravda daily published on Thursday.
She told some married men attempted to court her. ‘I always immediately knew he was married, and then it’s over,’ she said.
For instance, no romantic relations were possible between her and her starring partner from the new Sophie movie, the Orthodox actor Alexey Demidov, who is married and has four kids.
Earlier Oxana told the press that she would not make a mistake choosing her spouse. Though ‘God will test us. If your commit yourself to something, God will certainly test you one way or another,’ she added.
‘When I came to the altar (during filming of Christmas Tales’ movie - IF), I thought that my real church wedding would be conscious, and not a matter of fashion. When persons marry in church, they promise to be faithful forever,’ she said.
Last autumn Fyodorova was awarded with the Russian Club of Orthodox Patrons’ Order For Benefactions and the prize Faith and Word of the Second Festival of Orthodox Media. |
