International Christian Theater Festival opens in Moscow

Moscow, February 18, Interfax - The second International Christian Theater Festival The Mystery will take place in Moscow on February 18-24.

"The purpose of the festival is to revive Church theater. More than 20 theaters with stage productions from world classics and modern drama will arrive to Moscow from all parts of Russia and abroad," the organizers told Interfax-Religion.

"Our festival, just as the theater in general, is interconfessional. Its participants will include theaters from Orthodox, Catholic, Lutheran, Protestant and other Churches," organizers said.

The festival will be held under the auspices of the government of Moscow, the Russian Union of Theater Professionals and the Union of Christian Theater Professionals, organizers said.
