Icons restore themselves in a church in the Vladimir region

Vladimir, October 11, Interfax - Icons in the church of the Sanino village near Suzdal have restored themselves without the help of restorers, Vladimir State TV Company reports.

The miracle happening in the church has drawn the attention of artists themselves. No scientific explanation of this fact has been found. Nuns of St. Nicholas’s Convent do not know what this manifestation of God’s attention to their monastery means.

Many pilgrims coming to St. Nicholas’s Convent at the Sanino village have already experienced the healing properties of the local source water as eczema disappears and headache stops, but the main miracles await them in the church where one can watch the self-restoration of the icons.

The first to discover the miracles were restoration artists. First they were struck by the image of Jesus Christ. Until recently it was dim, just as the faces of tired angels around him. Without any human interference, the fresco has brightened up and then the faces of the Evangelists have transformed. Besides, one of the icons began exuding more myrrh.
