Patriarch Alexy prays for late Metropolitan Laurus

Moscow, March 17, Interfax - Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II prayed for the deceased first hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, Metropolitan Laurus, on Monday morning.

The prayer for the soul of the dead metropolitan Laurus was performed during the patriarch's Liturgy for the Presanctified Gifts conducted today by Alexy II at the Holy Trinity Cathedral at the St. Daniel Monastery in Moscow.

Metropolitan Laurus died in the morning of March 16, on the day of the Triumph of Orthodoxy.
