"Healer" Grabovoy sentenced to 11 years in jail

Moscow, July 8, Interfax - Moscow's Tagansky Court sentenced "healer" Grigory Grabovoy to 11 years in jail and a fine of one million rubles ($42 400).

The court found him guilty of 11 cases of fraud, under the Russian Criminal Code's article 159 in theft and inflicting losses on people.

Grabovoy used psychological methods to succeed in his frauds, the court said.

Grabovoy will serve his sentence in a penal colony.

The court satisfied civil suits from seven victims by exacting material losses for 270,000 rubles.

The court exacted procedural costs for 36,000 rubles.
