31 July 2009, 13:36Patriarch Kirill recommends those fighting against economic crisis to follow example of Donbass miners
Donetsk, July 31, Interfax - Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia held up Donbass miners as a model to the whole world fighting against economic crisis.
"Your work produces real values. If the world worked as Donbass miners do, there would no crisis at all," Patriarch Kirill said speaking to residents of the miners' village Gorlovka of the Donetsk Region.
The Patriarch called Donbass (the Donetsk Region - IF) a place "where people work hard to get their daily bread," and according to him, economic crisis "painfully hit such towns as Gorlovka, such people who work ideally and don't play economics."
The Russian Church Primate again called the crisis a consequence of "sin that penetrated in modern economics," and stated that today, "people of honest labor pay for those who made millions and milliards out of air, pay for deception, for those who seeking easy profits lost human face in economic relations." |
