Moscow, October 14, Interfax - The Russian Culture and Business Center will be built in Bethlehem in 2012 when the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society will celebrate its 130 anniversary, the Society head and Chairman of Russia's Audit Chamber Sergey Stepashin said.
These days on President Dmitry Medvedev's and Patriarch Kirill's instruction he heads Russian delegation to Jericho to the celebrations of the city's 10 thousand anniversary, the Audit Chamber told an Interfax-Religion correspondent.
Speaking at the festival ceremony attended by leaders of the Palestinian National Administration and representatives of foreign countries Stepashin congratulated Palestinians on the great jubilee, that, according to him, should be considered a triumph of the whole world civilization.
"Duty of people all around the world is to keep the holy history, colossal spiritual heritage of the Holy Land," Stepashin said. |
