Information attacks on the Patriarch have ordered character, Russian Public Chamber members say

Moscow, March 30, Interfax - Russian Public Chamber officials are convinced that a powerful information campaign is launched against Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, it is ordered by Russophobe and anti-Christian circles.

"The things done against the Patriarch are obscurantism. I can't find another word. People who launched this campaign are trying to insult and humiliate our culture. It is very harmful not only for a concrete person, but for the whole society. Certainly, it is a certain order," the Chamber member, chairman of the Central Council of the All-Russian Social Movement Grazhdanskoye Obshchestvo (Russian for "civil society" - IF) Anatoly Kucherena told Interfax.

According to him, the publications criticizing the Patriarch's position on Pussy Riot and versions of his claims for elite residences "may have Russophobe and anti-Christian tendency."

Information attack against the Patriarch is ordered in Russia, but actively supported on the West, member of the Chamber, pro-rector of the Russian Economic University Sergey Markov believes.

According to him, information campaign is launched both for political motives and matches global project that includes attacks on Christian values in the whole Europe.
