10 April 2012, 10:03Half naked citizens held anti-church action in the Kiev Laura of the Caves
Kiev, April 10, Interfax - Last Saturday, on the feast of the Annunciation a group of people held an action "Church is not a Store" at the entry to the Kiev Laura of the Caves.
One of the participants with a wreath on his head, black wings, dressed in boxers ran along the walls of the monastery and cried "God, bless," then he turned down a donation box, jumped on it and started chanting: "Church is not a store!"
Other participants held posters: "Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!”, "Give our faith back to us" and others.
Activists of the event from Ukrainian public organization Creative Youth reported in their statement at the VKontakte social net that their action is directed "against corruption in church system" and aimed to oppose "sale of religious subjects": candles, holy water, golden and silver decorations, icons.
Activists also urged "church mafia to pay sale taxes on services," meaning baptism, church marriage, requiems. |
