50 two meter eggs will be painted at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior on Easter

Moscow, April 14, Interfax - This Sunday, on the first Easter day, the The Live Art Easter festival will take place on the open air at the balustrade of the Cathedral of Church the Savior.

The key event of the festival that is to start at 10:00 a.m. will be decoration of 50 white eggs of human height (2 meters high and 1,3 meters in volume). They will be placed early in the morning at the stylobate part of the church complex and then painted by renowned Russian artists, organizers told Interfax-Religion.

The project is unique as the artists will work the whole day long on the open air and all citizens of the city can watch how the creative process goes on.

By the evening, 50 eggs will turn in 50 unique pieces of modern Russian art and the church balustrade to the biggest in Moscow open air exhibition. The painted eggs will be available for public all month long.
