Ufa, October 15, Interfax - Russia is not Islam's enemy, but on the contrary, it gives an example of caring for believers, head of the Central Spiritual Muslim Board of Russia Supreme Mufti Talgat Tajuddin said.
"Today no one oppose Muslims in our country. Neither state, nor any party, nor even shaitan can stand against free development of culture, our traditions and spirituality," Tajuddin said in his sermon on Tuesday in Ufa mosque Lyalya-Tyulpan on the occasion of the Eid al-Adha.
Having mentioned that some people try to represent Russia as Islam's enemy, he pointed out that every week mosques are opened or their foundations are laid in the country, Islam universities and madrasah work, foundations of traditional religions are taught in schools.
"Isn't it true, isn't it a worthy example!" the mufti said.
