Syrian opposition demands that groups Jaish al-Islam, Ahrar ash-Sham disavow terrorists

Moscow, February 29, Interfax - The Jaish al-Islam and Ahrar ash-Sham groups have yet to prove their commitment to the political settlement of the Syrian crisis, Qadri Jamil, a member of the leadership of the Popular Front for Change and Liberation, said.

"Jaish al-Islam and Ahrar ash-Sham say that they want a political solution to the Syrian crisis, but continue to fight in the ranks of terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra. How is it possible?" he said at a press conference in Moscow.

"As a representative of the national secular Syrian opposition, I must tell you that terrorist groups won't participate in the next Geneva conference," Jamil added.

He reiterated that these groups must totally break all of their ties with Jabhat al-Nusra and prove that they are ready to fight against terrorists in order to take part in the negotiations.
