Simferopol, November 25, Interfax - Turkey will never recognize the Spiritual Muslim Board of Crimea established in Kiev, head of the Turkish delegation visiting Crimea Hasan Cengiz said.
"We will never recognize that an alternative spiritual Muslim board is opened, and is opened by members of the terrorist organization. We will never recognize it," head of the Turkish Association of Eurasian Governments said at a meeting with Crimean deputies in Simferopol on Friday.
The Muslims, who believe that Crimea is a territory temporary occupied by Russia and left the peninsula for Ukraine, set up their own "Spiritual Muslim Board of Crimea" last week in Kiev. The Crimean Muslim Board call it an absurdity and a provocation against Muslims of the peninsula.
1.9 million people in Crimea, over 300,000 of them are Muslims.
