On the 100th anniversary of the Revolution the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia will commemorate its victims

Moscow, December 12, Interfax - Prayers for the victims of the revolutionary events in Russia will be lifted up in the churches of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.

Such a decision was adopted by the Synod of Bishops in New York in connection with the forthcoming 100th anniversary of the revolution, the ROCOR press service reports.

Prayers for “all the innocent victims of the time of troubles, murdered, suffering and tortured, in exile and imprisoned, enduring bitter death” will be uplifted in all its churches during the first ancestors’ Saturdays.

The Synod also reported about planned great consecrations of two cathedrals - Dormition Cathedral in London and Cathedral of the Holy New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia in Munich - scheduled for fall and June 2017.
