Rostov-on-Don, March 6, Interfax - Investigative procedures took place at a private house of a well-known religious figure, the imam of a mosque in Ingushetia, a source in the republic's law enforcement agencies told Interfax on Sunday.
"According to the available information, searches are being carried out at the private house owned by imam Isa Tsechoyev in the village of Ali-Yurt in Ingushetia's Nazran District," the source said.
Law enforcers closed several nearby streets and blocked access to the house.
The source did not state the reason for the searches.
A video footage of the searches appeared on the Internet later.
It shows armed special-forces officers emerging from one of the Ural vehicles and entering the property, some of them holding ladders and storm shields. A local official confirmed the authenticity of the video to Interfax.
