Putin, Russian chief mufti discuss Muslim community's activity

Moscow, March 21, Interfax - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Central Muslim Spiritual Board head and Russian Chief Mufti Talgat Tajuddin have discussed the Muslim community's activity in the country, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday.

"As part of regular communication with members of Russian religious denominations, the president has received Russian Central Muslim Spiritual Board head and Chief Mufti Talgat Tajuddin. They discussed current issues of the Muslim Ummah's activity," he said.

As was reported earlier, Putin met with leader of the Russian Orthodox Old-Rite Church Metropolitan Kornily on March 16.
