Moscow, April 12, Interfax - Bishop Kornily of Volgodonsk and Salsk helped the law enforcement agencies to identify a suspicious object found at the Nativity Church in Volgodonsk, the Rostov Region.
Certain local media reported that on the eve, during the evening prayer service a rucksack was found in the church, the building was cordoned off, people called the police and officials of the Ministry for Emergency Situations.
They arrived with a dog to clear out if there were explosives in the rucksack. The situation aggravated because of the existing church ban on letting in animals.
Then the bishop interfered in the matter. He took the rucksack out of the church and conveyed it to law enforcement officials. It turned out that the finding was not dangerous.
