Putin says to talk with prosecutor general, interior minister about situation involving sexual minorities in North Caucasus

Moscow, May 5, Interfax - Russian President Vladimir Putin has promised to Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova to talk with the prosecutor general and the interior minister about the situation surrounding "the people of nontraditional sexual orientation" in the North Caucasus.

"Of course, I will talk with the prosecutor general and the interior minister so that they support you on the issue that you have raised now on the well-known information, or on the rumors, about what is happening in the North Caucasus with the people of nontraditional sexual orientation," Putin said at a meeting with Moskalkova on Friday.
