Moscow, May 11, Interfax - The Kremlin will not comment on blogger Ruslan Sokolovsky's conviction and prosecutors' decision regarding the indictment of former heads of Rusnano Leonid Melamed and Svyatoslav Ponurov, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"I will leave this without comment. This is not our issue," Peskov said on Thursday when asked by reporters to comment on the refusal by the Russian Prosecutor General's Office to endorse the indictment in the case of Melamed and Ponurov.
When asked about the court ruling in the case of blogger Sokolovsky, who was given a suspended prison sentence for playing the Pokemon Go game at a Yekaterinburg church, Peskov said: "All the more so. As you know, we don't comment on court decisions."
Peskov also said he did not know how much media coverage Sokolovsky's case had received.
"We have no right to comment on court decisions and do not intend to do it," he said.
