Kiev, June 19, Interfax - The Equality March, which had taken place as part of the 2017 Kiev Pride in the city's downtown area, was held without any problems with law enforcement, its participants were unharmed, however two policemen sustained minor injuries while detaining six protesters against the event, Ukrainian law enforcement structures said.
"Two policemen sought medical assistance, but for small scratches, no hospitalization was needed," deputy head of the Ukrainian National Police Andrey Krischenko said last Sunday.
There were minor scuffles between policemen and protesters against the Equality March, he said.
In addition, policemen seized several ski masks, fireworks and medical face masks.
According to the police, over 2,000 people participated in the event.
