Kremlin to look into ECHR judgment on law banning gay propaganda amongst minors, waits to see details

Moscow, June 20, Interfax - The Kremlin is unprepared to make a detailed comment on the judgment of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), which has called discriminative the Russian law banning gay propaganda amongst minors but notes that the bill is aimed at protecting children.

"This [ECHR] judgment will be looked into, but I have not seen the [judgment] wording so far," Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday.

"I cannot comment on this right now, but the [wording] - amongst minors - is extremely important. It is crucial to say this when you ask your question," the press secretary said.
