Russian priest stands for sobriety during Football World Cup

Moscow, June 7, Interfax - Deputy chairman of the Vyatka Diocese missionary department priest Andrey Lebedev urges football fans to spend the days of the World Cup without alcohol and go in for sports.

"Let us spend the World Cup without alcohol! It is the world of sport! Let us be sober fans who ride bicycles together with their families and do the morning exercises," the priest told Interfax-Religion on Thursday.

Father Andrey also said that "to drink bear means to spoil the fest."
