Russian MP: upcoming reunification of Russian Church is important especially under latest world developments

Moscow, May 23, Interfax – Natalia Narochnitskaya, State Duma deputy and well-known historian, has described as the greatest event the results of the Bishops’ Council of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia (ROCOR), which took place recently in San Francisco and which favoured reunification with the Moscow Patriarchate.

‘The fact that after all the splits Russian people have now gathered themselves up given all that appalling bacchanalia of Russophobia is a miracle, and we can thank and bow before the historical wisdom and insight of our brothers outside Russia’, the MP said at a Tuesday press conference in Moscow.

She said the reunification of the Russia ‘which we have lost with the Russia which has survived and seeks to restore much of what she has lost is a greatest event’.

‘While the Serbs and the Montenegrins break up and Eurovision gives the prize to boys in the image of devils and real vampires, the Russians are uniting’, Narochnitskaya stated.
