A fire elevator removed a woman who became ill from the colonnade of St. Isaac

St. Petersburg, June 28, Interfax - St. Petersburg rescuers removed a visitor from the colonnade of St. Isaac's Cathedral who felt unwell at a height, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the city reported on Monday.

Fire and rescue units and a 78-meter fire lift were sent to the place to transport the visitor of the museum. Rescuers on a stretcher transported the woman down the flight of stairs and handed her over to the medics.

The height of the colonnade of St. Isaac's Cathedral is 43 meters.
