Perm, October 18, Interfax - A 6th grade student fired shots in a school in the Oktyabrsky municipal district of the Perm Territory, the press service for the region's Interior Ministry told Interfax on Monday.
The shooter, a 6th grade student, was detained.
No one was hurt in the incident.
Meanwhile, according to an informed source, one of the students sought a paramedic's assistance after the incident. No one sustained gunshot wounds.
A different source said one of the reasons why the student decided to fire shots in the school was that he had been bullied at school. "According to tentative information, the detained teenager said the reason for his actions was bad treatment from his classmate, regular offences, and also bulling," the source told Interfax.
The student's behavior during the incident was unbalanced, he will undergo a psychiatric evaluation. "He shouted delirious phrases when he fired shots in the air, and he shouted that he was following 'God's instructions' as he was being detained," the source said.
