Patriarch Kirill diagnosed with Covid-19

Moscow, September 30, Interfax - Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia has been diagnosed with coronavirus, according to a report published on the website of the Russian Orthodox Church.

"All meetings and trips of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill scheduled for the next few days have been cancelled as he is sick with Covid-19, which is proceeding with clinical symptoms, and because he needs to stay in bed and to self-isolate," the report on the website quoted Russian Orthodox Church spokesperson Vladimir Legoyda as saying.

The patriarch is in satisfactory condition, he said.
