Baku, April 26, Interfax - Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia urged to give up double standards in antiterrorism policy.
"When we back up fight against terrorism, we should strive to avoid double standards in this process. We need to be honest with ourselves, with God and other people," Patriarch Kirill said on Sunday at a session of the CIS Interreligious Council in Baku.
He warned that "today under pretence of struggling against terrorism, very dangerous actions are taken that violate human rights and freedoms."
"Fighting against evil, we shouldn't multiply this evil," the Patriarch stressed.
Speaking on globalization, he noted that besides economic profit to some of its participants this process contains "major dangers, such as cultural depersonalization and moral disorientation of people."
