Kiev, December 20, Interfax - Brazilian halfback of FC Shakhtar (Donetsk) Fernandinho doesn't exclude a possibility that after resuming his career in sport, he can take orders and become a priest.
"I can imagine myself in this kind (as a pastor - IF) even being a footballer," the player said in his interview with the Shakhtar magazine answering a question whether he can imagine himself a priest after finishing his sport career.
"Seriously, I've really had a thought to take orders and become a pastor. Generally, I'm ready to it. But nobody knows what will be in the future," he said.
Fernandinho also told about certain changes in his life that had happened thanks to the Church.
"When I was still very young, but had already become a professional soccer and earned very big money, I did many foolish things that almost led me to a disaster. I managed to stop at the edge of an abyss, probably I would have never get out of it. Thinking about myself, about the sense in life, I managed to change myself thanks to God. When I came to God, I've become absolutely different. The Church I belong to helped me in it," he said.
Fernandinho played in five matches for Brazil and debuted in ShakhtarDonetsk in match with FC Kryvbas on July 30, 2005.
Earlier other Brazilian soccers Kaka (FC RealMadrid ) and Ze Roberto who is now playing for Qatar club Al-Gharafa told about their wish to become pastors and former captain of football club Chernomorets Odessa became a deacon about two years ago.
