Moscow, April 25, Interfax - The Yabloko party intends to ask the Russian Prosecutor General's Office to take measures in connection with the statements made by lawyer Dagir Khasavov, who has made threats against people who are preventing the creation of sharia courts in Russia.
"I have ordered that an inquiry be made to the Russian Prosecutor General's Office demanding the opening of a case on the basis of Article 282 of the Criminal Code in connection with the threats made by Dagir Khasavov to cause bloodshed in Moscow," Yabloko leader Sergey Mitrokhin said on Twitter.
Khasavov earlier said on federal television that Muslims in Russia do not want to go to secular courts and therefore should use sharia courts. The lawyer said that big bloodshed may happen if sharia courts are not created in Russia.
