Residents of Kazakh village hope to stop a wave of suicides offering white camel as a sacrifice

Shymkent, April 27, Interfax - In the village of Karabulak of the South Kazakh Region, an imam advised local residents to knife a white camel in order to expel an evil spirit that force people to commit suicides, villain akim Alimzhan Nishankulov told journalists on Friday.

According to him, two school boys from 5th and 7th form have committed suicide this year, three more teens were rescued last moment.

Last year, 14 residents killed themselves in the village with population of 40 thousand people .

Chief imam of the village mosque Abdurrafi Rakhmatullayev told that the teens saw an elder dressed in white who called them "to follow him, showed a rope on his neck and said that life is senseless."
