Oppositionists plan to hold a pseudoprayer service on Red Square

Moscow, May, Interfax - Orthodox believers announced plans of certain citizens to hold a "prayer service" near the Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan on Red Square on May 6.

"Oppositional radical groups are preparing the next anti-Church action, clownish pseudoprayer service "against obscurantism" - head of the Association of Orthodox Experts Kirill Frolov told Interfax-Religion on Thursday.

He called it a provocation and stressed that he knew clerics of the cathedral very well.

"There are no priests who would agree to participate in this awful clownery," the interviewee of the agency said.

He added that Orthodox believers would be on duty on May 6 "to stop the blasphemy in a legal way."
