Moscow, May 21, Interfax - Auto race to support the Church, Orthodox family and stand against abortions took place on Sunday in downtown Moscow.
An Interfax-Religion correspondent reported that the action started from a prayer service in the Annunciation Church in the Petrovsky Park chaired by the head of medical and educational center Zhizn (the Russian for "life" - IF) Archpriest Maxim Obukhov.
After the priest's blessing, participants in the race drove along the Sadovoye Koltso. About 500 people and 300 cars participated in the action, many of them carried posters Russia without Abortions.
Activists of the Corporation of Orthodox Action also participated in the action. They not only drove along the Sadovoye Koltso, but also visited the districts of the capital where "anti-Russian forces try to disrupt construction of churches in frames of the program, which envisages building of 200 new Orthodox churches in Moscow," the COA head Kirill Frolov told Interfax-Religion.
