Pope Francis of Rome congratulates Russian opera singer Svetlana Kasyan on her birthday
Moscow, July 24, Interfax - Opera diva Svetlana Kasyan celebrates her 35th birthday on Wednesday in company of Pope Francis of Rome.
She has come to Vatican to celebrate her birthday from Verona where she played Aida in the opera of the same name, her husband and director of St. Gregory the Theologian Foundation Leonid Sevastyanov told the journalists.
Earlier, Svetlana Kasyan received St. Sylvester order from the pontiff’s hands for achievements in opera art and became the first woman who was honored with it.
