Moscow, June 7, Interfax - The bishoprics of the Crimean Peninsula have been subordinated directly to Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church decided at a meeting in Moscow on Tuesday.
"Considering that regular communication between these bishoprics and the Kyiv Metropolitanate is practically impossible, the Dzhankoi, Simferopol, and Feodosia bishoprics shall be made canonically and administratively subordinate directly to the patriarch of Moscow and All Russia and the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church," the Synod said in its bulletins.
