For many visitors, the big mystery is what a session is like; later in this page I explain how a consultation with me works and what you can expect.

"Our maps remind us of the terrain we came to discover." — Adam Elenbaas
Again and again, I hear the same curiosity: what unfolds behind the scenes during a consultation? It’s a thoughtful question.
No two practitioners share this old sky-language identically; below I outline my astrological style.
For a quick overview, a short video on YouTube walks through the essentials.
Why Astrology Shapes My Approach
From my earliest years, I was pulled toward a language that brushed the edge of the unknowable. The art feels deep and layered and, when practiced by a professional astrologer, people often feel truly seen — in ways my other methods never achieved.
As a tool, it also reflects back inner awareness, building self-awareness that changes how we meet ourselves and builds empathy for others; in daily life, it functions like a bridge. I’ve explored pieces of this on Zen Parenting Radio.
Even now, the ways this language resonates for so many remain mysterious to me, and I’m glad to trust the unknown. Grounded in geometry, astronomy, and philosophy, the tradition spans many schools and faces and reaches a cosmic scale. Much like Tom Hanks’ final words in Castaway, I’m simply grateful to have it alongside me on this island of living.
What Actually Happens in an Astrology Reading
In practice, our time together is a conversation led by your questions and anchored by a natal chart I prepare in advance.
- During our first meeting, we focus on your path, day-to-day currents, and how those threads relate to character and identity; we may also glance at current transits to time major themes.
- My curiosity gravitates to identity and temperament across your life, unless a louder storyline asks for attention; sun sign and other zodiac signs provide context rather than the whole picture.
- Think of the session as a meaningful dialogue — I prepare by using your exact time, place, and date of birth to generate a personalized natal chart.
- Held as a snapshot of the sky at your first breath, this symbolic map becomes a tool to interpret active themes, name strengths, and note challenges as you navigate being human.
- The diagram serves as a steady guide, a map you can return to as planetary cycles move.
- What you choose to do with the insights is always your call; agency belongs to you.
Please note, I do not practice therapy, medicine, law, or finance, and I do not give advice in those domains.
What I offer: intuition, empathy, a playful spirit, training in symbolic interpretation, and a love for helping people see their lives through myth and metaphor.
A beloved teacher likens the role to a kind friend at a coffee shop table; picture us sitting together, unpacking your story and exploring meaning, timing, and impact.

Astro FAQ and Zodiac Questions
- Respectful skepticism is welcome; thoughtful questions help me clarify purpose, and this work is different from a one-size-fits-all newspaper horoscope.
- When the exact time you were born isn’t recorded, we can often narrow it with clues like “between noon and late afternoon”; the most precise timestamp creates the most reliable natal chart.
- Regarding forecasts, traditional timing methods can outline likely themes and periods, which supports planning and conversation; I do not state exactly how events will unfold.
- To schedule time with me for a session or event, head to my website’s booking page or my Calendly calendar.
- Workshops are offered; details live on the workshops page.
- For minors, a parent or guardian must be present in the session; while you wait, exploring your child’s Moon sign can be powerful, and You Were Born For This by Chani Nicholas is a friendly starting point.
- Psychic readings are not my lane; for that modality, I often recommend Jan Helen McGee.
I see us as companions traveling distinct trails. Our challenges differ, yet everyone carries some. This craft reminds me of inner tools and native strength, and I draw on them through difficult seasons.
